Hey, I’m Luca — the guy behind Get Fit Safely.
Fitness has been the one constant in my life for the past twenty years.
It kept me balanced when everything else was messy.
And it’s always the first thing I bring up whenever someone casually mentions working out.
In 2022, I decided it was time to share my journey.
Not just to talk about workouts, but to help people fall in love with movement the way I did.
And here we are.
My Story With Training

I still remember the first time I grabbed a dumbbell at fifteen.
It was heavy, sure.
But it felt like a key — unlocking a new version of myself, rep after rep.
Over the years, I tried it all: weights, running, gymnastics, endless jump rope sessions that left me wrecked but smiling.
And my biggest passion, beyond the weights, has always been calisthenics.
Bodyweight training taught me that strength isn’t just numbers on a bench press.
It’s control, technique, and learning how to move your own body through space.
In my twenties, I was flying high.
Strong, lean, full of energy.
But after thirty, I slipped.
I stopped training, started eating junk, gained weight, and felt like my body betrayed me.
That was my wake-up call.
Instead of giving up, I picked up the rope — literally — and started jumping.
Within weeks, I dropped weight, improved my cardio, and rediscovered that sense of discipline I had lost.
From there, I brought back bodyweight, weights, nutrition — and slowly rebuilt myself.
What Really Works
Here’s the truth.
You don’t need a fancy gym or miracle supplements to change your body.
- Bodyweight training: your no-excuse ticket. Push-ups, squats, pull-ups. Humans have been getting stronger with these moves for centuries. You can do them anywhere.
- Resistance training: the engine. Dumbbells, barbells, bands. They force your body to adapt and grow. With consistency and good form, your body has no choice but to respond.
- Nutrition: the fuel. Without the right food, even the best engine won’t run. Protein, carbs, fats — all balanced, all essential.
And here’s a lesson I had to learn the hard way: you have to change. Always.
Stick with the same workout too long and you plateau.
Eat the same food every single day and you burn out.
Trust me, nobody wants to live on eggs and tuna forever.
My Evolution
The past couple of years, I’ve been experimenting even more.
Strength training is still my backbone, but I’ve added yoga and Pilates into the mix.
And wow — they humbled me fast.
I thought I was strong… until I tried holding a yoga pose for two minutes.
Or controlling my core through a Pilates session.
It burns in a different way.
It connects you in a different way.
I realized fitness isn’t just “how much you can lift.”
It’s about how you move, how you breathe, and how long you can sustain.
This blend of calisthenics, strength, mobility, and recovery has made me feel stronger and lighter at the same time.
What You’ll Find Here
Get Fit Safely isn’t a place where you’ll find “certified coaches” throwing the same tired lines at you.
There are no diplomas hanging on the wall just for show.
Here you’ll find real experiences, lived and tested.
Not just mine, but also from the people I’ve met along the way — talented personal trainers, friends who compete, and athletes who keep pushing at the highest levels.
These are real stories.
With sweat, mistakes, wins, and setbacks.
And that’s what gives this project its strength.
On the blog you’ll find:
- Beginner-friendly gym workouts
- Bodyweight routines to crush at home
- Smart nutrition strategies that make sense
- Honest takes on trainers, supplements, and recovery
- Stories from my journey (and from those who trained with me) to give you practical, concrete insights
And yes, I’ll talk a lot about injury prevention.
Because nothing kills motivation like a shoulder tweak or a lower back flare-up.
Staying in the game long-term matters way more than maxing out for Instagram.
Let’s Build This Together
I don’t see myself as some untouchable guru.
I’m just a guy who’s spent years sweating, experimenting, failing, and coming back stronger.
If you’re just getting started — you’re in the right place.
If you’ve been lifting for years but need a spark — you’re still in the right place.
I believe small changes stack into massive results.
And I believe anyone, from any starting point, can get stronger, leaner, and healthier if they’re willing to put in the work.
So stick around.
Try the workouts.
Test the nutrition tips.
And most importantly — act today, not tomorrow.
Because tomorrow has a bad habit of never showing up.

Let’s do this together.
